Mental Health Support

Mental health support is crucial for overall well-being and quality of life. Mental health refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being, affecting how we think, feel and act. It encompasses various aspects such as our ability to handle stress, relate to others, make choices and cope with life's challenges. Just like physical health, it is just as important to look after our mental health.

Anxiety and depression are amongst common mental health disorders that can significantly impact a person's daily life. Anxiety is characterised by feelings of excessive worry, fear, and unease. It can manifest in physical symptoms such as increased heart rate, sweating, and trembling. While depression involves persistent feelings of sadness and loss of interest in activities. Both conditions can have a range of physical and emotional symptoms.

Seeking support such as counselling can help when things feel too much.

Simone will  take a Person-Centred Approach and may utilise a variety of other interventions such as, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused, Strength Based and Mindfulness interventions, in order to help identify unhelpful thought patterns and then come up with a plan to learn new skills in order to handle the difficult thoughts and feelings.

Simone's aim is to create a safe and empathetic therapeutic environment to support her clients in exploring underlying issues and developing effective coping mechanisms.
