Person-Centred Approach
Person-centred counselling is a therapeutic approach that prioritises the clients subjective experience, autonomy, and self determination.
This approach believes that individuals have the capacity for self-awareness and growth, and aims to create a safe and non-judgemental space in which clients can explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. The counsellor acts as a supportive facilitator, offering empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness to help clients develop a greater understanding of themselves and find their own solutions to their problems
